Our goal is to provide a service that allows you to experience the beautiful game with your friends, share your soccer activity with the world, and discover playing opportunities with people that you might not know yet but can already trust.
We want Jogabo to continue to be an authentic and safe place for the game to flourish. Help us foster this community. Only post real games; don’t lie about your stats. Respect everyone on Jogabo - don’t spam people or post harassing content and always follow the law.
Live, breathe football. But when in doubt, you should always embrace the “joga bonito” spirit, two words that literally mean “to play beautiful”. A style of play and conduct characterized by joy, heart, honor, pride, elegance, humility, respect and teamwork.
Jogabo is a reflection of the world’s diverse community of cultures, ages, and beliefs. We created the Community Guidelines so you can help us foster and maintain this amazing community. By using Jogabo, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Service. We’re committed to these guidelines and expect you to be as well. Overstepping these boundaries may result in a disabled account.
As always, you are responsible for the games you organize and plans you post. Only post authentic soccer games and events that are really going to happen. Fake matches are just annoying. Imagine being the player joining one of those and showing up at the field with no one there. Yeah, it blows and other users will simply not want to play with you in the future.
Additionally, events that are not for playing of soccer, such as watching a Champions League game or playing FIFA 16, do not belong on the Service and will be removed. There are other apps for such events so let’s keep it clean.
We don’t like it when you track a game you haven’t played or enter fake stats. It makes us and the soccer gods sad. Only track games when you are on the field and you are actually playing. We know you love stats and badges, but it’s only really fun if you actually achieve them fairly. Remember, your stats are, first and foremost, for yourself.
A venue on Jogabo should be a location where people can actually play soccer. It doesn’t have to be a manicured field under bright lights though. That spot at your local park, the local school gym or a street soccer field at the local basketball court are all fair game. We think that if people can enjoy playing at a venue and it’s not hurting anyone, then it’s legit. Oh, and to avoid duplicates, make sure to search for a place before adding it to the app.
Jogabo is better with your friends! Find and follow friends in the app through your contacts and follow new ones after meeting them in your games. Only follow people you know and wouldn’t mind sharing your plans and location with. Remember, if they follow you back, you will be considered “Friends”.
The best way to discover playing opportunities and expand your soccer community is to follow people you play with. Remember though, don’t be that creep who mass follows everyone, especially if you are doing it to gain visibility for your business or to promote your pay-to-play games. The community will quickly shun you and people will block you!
Help us stay spam-free by not artificially collecting likes, followers, posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent.
When it comes to inviting people to your games, don’t blast and spam everyone. Sending mass invites to people you don’t know is not cool – don’t be THAT guy/girl. Invite people you know and you really want in your game and use the privacy setting to let the app do its thing. We’ve built features especially to let your friends and others opt in to receive notifications to know you are looking for players. They can also find out about your game, depending on its privacy, through the discover feature. It’s just more efficient and less spammy.
We want to foster a positive, diverse community. Friendly banter is one thing. Harassment is another. We remove content that contains credible threats or hate speech, content that targets private individuals to degrade or shame them, personal information meant to blackmail or harass someone, and repeated unwanted messages.
It's never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases. Serious threats of harm to public and personal safety aren't allowed. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, and other financial harm. Jogabo is not a place to support or praise terrorism, gangs, organized crime, or hate groups. We have zero tolerance when it comes to threatening others.Maintain our supportive environment
The Jogabo community cares for each other. We've got each other’s backs. The community does what it can to keep things trustworthy, safe and enjoyable for everyone by looking out for potentially dangerous situations and reporting users that threaten this environment.
